I’m sure most of you have heard the news this week that our province will be entering into Stage 2 of reopening, including the opening of worship services. This is great news because first and foremost, it means we are on the downward trend for people being infected in Ontario.

So what does this mean for the Cambridge Vineyard?  While the pandemic didn’t allow us to have large gatherings, our core ministries did continue with many people engaged.  As well, our online Sunday services have been reaching a significant number of people who otherwise wouldn’t be connecting with us.  Our home churches and focus groups have been meeting online, and now those with ten or less can gather in person, with social distancing and safety protocols in place, which is excellent news!  And lastly, we have significant renovations that are starting or will be starting, that will positively impact both Urban Hope and our auditorium spaces.

All of this combined with the summer months approaching means that we are going to push the pause button on large gatherings until September. This gives our senior leaders room to breathe to facilitate ministries and lay out a solid plan for those gathering, while ensuring your safety.

We are so proud of you, our Vineyard family, in how you have connected and cared for one another!  Over the summer months, we would encourage you to continue to gather in smaller groups. If you know of any who are not connected, please reach out and invite them to join you.  If you are not part of a home church or focus group, you can email us at and we will make it happen. And remember… We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly.  As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 1: 2-3)

Love and peace to all… your pastoral team!
