Transforming our governance structure

In early autumn, the Lord shared a picture of many of us coming together to link arms, elbow to elbow. Along with that picture came the words, “You are now entering the season of Unity.” Shortly after that, the elders, board and staff came together for our joint quarterly meeting. In that meeting, a more excellent form of unity began to make itself manifest, and a transformation began to grab hold of us all. It was here that a new way of governing began to take form.

Assisted by Ed Wilson, a former member and leader of CV who now functions as a coach for leaders and non-profit organizations, we began entertaining thoughts of a new way of functioning. A joining of the Elders and the Board would bring a more balanced approach to governing, allowing both generative thinking and problem-solving to coexist. This group of leaders known as the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) will become the legal governing body of the Cambridge Vineyard. Members of this group will give leadership and oversite to both the spiritual and organizational care of the church.

The following is a list of the SLT:
Chair: Amanda Macdougall
Treasurer: Jason Baskerville
Secretary: Courtney De Melo
Directors: Justin De Melo, Rob Horvath, Patrick Kilborn, Laura Kilborn
Non-Voting Members: Scott Roe, Tabitha Fellman, Christine Lakatos, Kylie Portaccio

The SLT would like to take this opportunity to thank two individuals who have faithfully served CV for so many years:
George Lakatos, who has served as Elder, has recently chosen to step back from Elding to become more involved with Urban Hope.
Jason Baskerville has served as Chair of the Board for the past five years. Jason has chosen to support Amanda Macdougall as Chair during this time of transition.
To both men, may the LORD richly bless you for all the love and care, prayers and petitions, hours and energy you have invested into the fabric of this tiny portion of His Body called CV.
