God’s Home…Among Us – Being Empty, Being Filled

Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.
Have you every put too much effort into trying to fill yourself, only to end up feeling empty again? How often do we get in our own way and wonder why our lives are not always as satisfying as we thought they should be? Maybe Jesus has a better idea. As we draw closer to celebrating the birth of our Lord and Saviour, let’s pause to consider the important implications of why His act of “emptying” himself is so important to us today.
