The Advancing Way Of Christ

Did you know that God is calling you into change? Inviting you to something new? I guarantee that there is change afoot in your life. He is always working in your life and mine, even now, working the growing edge in us. The life of a Jesus follower is never static. In the scriptures, we see that God isn’t picky about what He’ll use as an agent of change. We see Jonah hightail it, running in the opposite direction of the call of God. Yet he ends up in Nineveh nonetheless. We see King David’s resounding “yes” throughout his life, even in bitter sorrow. The story of Israel’s exodus from Egypt is a compelling tale of an entire people-group navigating through change. Are they running away from slavery or running towards the promise of God? Answer: It’s complicated. This Sunday we’re going to explore what it looks like to “lean in” to the invitation of God, and step forward towards the advancing way of Christ.
