The Ignoble Entrance of a King

Passage: Isaiah 53: 2-6
Service Type:

We all have this attraction to people that are great, or rich, or famous, and the charisma that goes along with that.  When that becomes our measuring stick for ‘greatness’, we risk becoming blind to what’s truly great in God’s world. If people of Judah were waiting for the coming of the Messiah, they probably weren’t anticipating the ‘unassuming’ entrance that Jesus made into our world.  Jesus didn’t make the grand entrance through the royal gates of a palace. Instead, Jesus entered through the side door of the servant’s quarters.
