Let’s face it, life is hard.  Humanity cries out to be delivered from life’s pains, hoping that somewhere there’s an escape.  But delivered from what to what?  Is it possible that what our hearts really long for we already have?  Isaiah prophesied that a Son would be given to us and his name would be Immanuel.  God. Is. With. Us.  This Advent season, let’s discover the power of the presence of God, and in turn, be that presence to others!

The Sheer Power of Presence

They say that the importance of a name is that it is the foundation that an individual’s identity is built around.  Paul says that Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God…what we call, the incarnation, or God in human form.  The fact that God took on human form says something so profound that, at times, it escapes all human comprehension.
