The Joy Of Repentance

Most of us are familiar with the following cycle with regards to managing our “sin problem”: Sin, Shame, Sorrow, Repentance and Forgiveness. Wash and repeat. What if there’s something more on offer from the forgiving, loving heart of God than this? This week we’re going to spend a bit of time in a less familiar book of the bible, Nehemiah, where we encounter a very different sort of pattern of repentance. This is a pattern that is infused with joy, transformation and a commitment to change course towards the intentions of God.”
