Bible Text: Mark 4: 30-32 | Preacher: Scott Roe | Series: Backyards and Balconies – Neighbouring Like Jesus

It’s amazing at just how easy it is to sabotage our own efforts when it comes to connecting with our next door neighbours. For many of us, we think that if we don’t do something spectacular, then we’ll be quickly dismissed or worse, look silly. And so because we can’t think of anything spectacular, we do nothing. But there is something about the truth that anything done with great love impacts people! Because when you boil it all down, it’s really not what you do for someone, but the fact that you thought of them. And that’s what love does…it notices people.

In Mark’s gospel, Jesus described the Kingdom of God like a mustard seed…the smallest of all seeds. Maybe small is where you find the power of the Kingdom.
