The Way of the Cross – Counted As Worthy

As we enter into, what some traditions call ‘Holy Week’, we spend this time pondering the persecution and suffering that Jesus Christ experienced in this week culminating to death by execution on a cross.  And while we know that Jesus suffered and died, we also need to consider WHY Jesus had to suffer – why humanity experiences suffering, and why of all things does Paul consider it a privilege to suffer for Jesus?
