BEYOND THE VEIL (Series title)

The season of Lent is a time to search our hearts as we seek to follow Jesus. We do this through soul searching, acts of self-sacrifice, and abstinence. In reality, we are walking with Jesus in his final weeks leading up to his crucifixion. How did he, as Luke states, “…resolutely set out for Jerusalem.”, knowing what he was facing? Jesus, and many from the early church to today have faced similar fates. How did they do it? Interestingly, Scripture tells us plainly how they walked towards suffering. Join us as we consider how Jesus walked the road that we must walk towards resurrection.

Eyes to See (March 10 title)

Luke states, “As the time drew near for him to ascend to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem.” (Luke 9:51) Knowing what he was going to face, Jesus journeyed to Jerusalem with intention! Consider this: The natural human tendency is to avoid pain and suffering at any cost. But rather than avoid it, Jesus walked towards it! Remember, Jesus was fully human just like you and I are. He knew pain. But as we walk closely with Jesus, he will help us to see what he saw and sees.
