Only One Thing Matters Most to God

It’s interesting how we are inclined to make following Jesus a complicated endeavour. We have innumerable doctrines, statements of faith, creeds, and theological perspectives in our quest to follow. Jesus comes along and gets right to the heart of the issue…literally. He’s not all that interested in our knowledge, the music we sing, or how spiritually gifted we are. Jesus cuts through all of that and goes straight to our heart. If the heart is not one with God’s heart, everything else is window dressing.
